Ivory Coast will be the host country for the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced in Algeria on Friday.
The decision was taken at an executive committee meeting of the African football governing body held in Algiers.
Ivory Coast faced competition from previous edition hosts Morocco, who decided to withdraw their bid in support of the West African nation, citing solid bilateral ties between the two countries.
Morocco is in the race to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and they will also be hosting the U-23 AFCON set for June 24th to July 8th this year.

FOOTBALL CAF releases qualifying format for 2026 World Cup
The 2026 World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams, a sharp increase from the 32 sides.
The Women’s Champions League is scheduled for October and December, but CAF is yet to announce the dates.
Seven teams will participate in the final tournament through zonal qualification to join the top club from the host country, which gains automatic qualification.
