Super Eagles' Alex Iwobi opens up on relationship with Fulham's Marco Silva
Nigeria Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi left the sinking ship Everton for an adventure at Fulham with his former manager at Goodison Park.
Carlos Vinicius was the hero of the day as he netted the only goal of the match just after the hour mark.
Iwobi debut
The 26-year-old started his Fulham career on the bench as he watched his new teammates struggle to break down a stubborn Luton.
Luton, who are playing in the Premier League for the first time proved a hard nut to crack but their resilience only lasted just a little more than an hour.
Three minutes after Iwobi came on, Vinicius pounced to give the home the breakthrough and deserved lead.
During his 28 minutes on the pitch, Iwobi attempted two shots and completed 87% of his passes.
Meanwhile, his compatriot, Bassey, only managed just one minute after he was subbed on in the 90th minute.
What the result means
A first win of the season sees Fulham end a run of four consecutive matches without a win while the Hatters sit bottom of the table after four consecutive defeats.
