Ayunga has now scored his second goal since returning from a nasty ACL injury earlier this month.
Harambee Stars striker Jonah Ayunga came off the bench to score his second Scottish Premiership goal of the season as St Mirren thrashed Sir Alex Ferguson’s former club Aberdeen 3-0 on Saturday.
Ayunga, who is starting to gain some momentum after featuring in a lot of games since returning from a nasty ACL injury earlier this month, came on in the 64th minute and looked assured during his spell on the pitch.
They picked up a rare away win at an unhappy Pittodrie as they beat Aberdeen in wicked conditions.
Mark O'Hara rifled in from close range after 12 minutes before missing a penalty that would have made the game far more comfortable for the Paisley side.
It didn't matter in the end as Ayunga and Greg Kiltie scored two late goals to make it a comfortable victory for Stephen Robinson's men.
St Mirren got forward for the first time in the match in the 12th minute as Kiltie squared it to Mikael Mandron.
The big striker then spun and hit the ball which deflected back, but the ball dropped to O'Hara who fired it home from eight yards out.

With 2024 set to be a pivotal year for Harambee Stars given the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2024 CHAN on home soil, is the team ready following a mixed 2023?
St Mirren continued to press for a goal since going ahead, and won a penalty moments later when Mikael Mandron squared the ball to Lewis Jamieson and he curled for goal, but it struck the hand of Richard Jensen.
There was a VAR check to confirm the penalty before referee Grant Irvine awarded it, but it was missed.
Ayunga got their second goal late into the second half when Scott Tanser sent a delicious ball to the back post before the Kenyan slid in at the back post to slam home.
Kiltie hit the final nail in Aberdeen’s coffin with a penalty deep in stoppage time after Toyosi Olusanya was wiped out by Stefan Gartenmann in the box.
