The Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, has disclosed that the pitch at the Mobolaji Jhonson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, is not good enough for the Super Eagles.
Pulse Sports reported that Peseiro was at matchday one of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) championship playoffs.
The opening game of the 2023 NPFL Super Six championship was between eight-time champions Enyimba and Remo Stars which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Onikan stadium is not good enough for Super Eagles
The Portuguese told Pulse Sports Nigeria that the Onikan stadium is not good enough for the Super Eagles to train on.
The gaffer said,
"Our camping will be here that is why I am checking, and evaluating well because our players are using here for camping and they are not familiar to train on artificial pitch, the turf is not very good."

He said,
"The Home based Players must show quality, and willingeness for the Super Eagles, they must improve in the match every day and the league must improve also. the Super Six is a good tournament is nice and for me it's nice."
