The women's U17 team beat Mexico in their last appearance at the global championship.
Junior Starlets coach Mildred Cheche let her feelings known after guiding the U17 national team to their first-ever World Cup appearance in the Dominican Republic.
It was the first time a Kenyan football team graced the global show, making Junior Starlets' appearance a no-mean-feat.
Cheche said the team gleaned valuable lessons from the tournament and will use the experience gained to work towards achieving their goal.

The striker scored Kenya's second goal in the 2-1 win against Mexico and she was crowned player of the match.
"Though we bore out of the competition, we take home valuable lessons and use this as an opportunity for growth to work towards our goal," Cheche posted on her Instagram account.
The Junior Starlets managed one win by beating Mexico 2-1 in Group C that also comprised 2018 quarter-finalists England and two-time champions North Korea. The latter two qualified to the knockout round.

Junior Starlets make history with victory over Mexico at Women's U17 World Cup
Kenya's Junior Starlets exited the Women's U17 World Cup in historic fashion after securing their first win following a 2-1 victory against Mexico.
Lornah Wasike and Valarie Nekesa became Kenya's only goal scorers at the World Cup with Wasike awarded the Player of the Match after her heroic performance against their North America opposition.
"I would like to extend a heartfelt vote of thanks to our exceptional Harambee starlets junior girls and the entire technical bench for their performance. Your dedication, teamwork and commitment to excellence were truly commendable and inspiring," Cheche said.
She added: "The way each member of the team displayed determination, and sportsmanship throughout this journey is amazing. I'm grateful for the hard work and sacrifices you all put in to achieve this well-deserved success. Keep up the excellent work and may your success continue to soar to greater heights. We give God all the glory."
