Juventus left it late against 16th-place Hellas Verona and moved to the top of the Serie A table, one point above Inter Milan.

The Old Ladies were looking to move top of the table when they faced Hellas Verona in their Serie A clash.

They were able to find a way past difficult Hellas Verona and secure a 1-0 win despite having two goals ruled out.

Andrea Cambiaso's late goal was good enough to seal the victory for Juventus and move top of the table.

As it happened

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri made two changes to his side that defeated Torino last weekend with Rugani and Vlahovic coming into the side.

Hellas Verona manager Marco Baroni made five changes to his side that was beaten 3-1 last weekend by Napoli.

Juventus took the lead early on in the game after Moise Kean had far too much free space and he knew how to take advantage of it. He produces a howitzer in the direction of the bottom left corner to beat Lorenzo Montipo.

However, the goal was reviewed by VAR for a possible offside. After the review, the goal was ruled out for offside.

The home side continued to pressure Hellas Verona but could not get a breakthrough as the halftime whistle was blown.

The second half started and Juventus scored another goal which was also ruled out by the VAR for an infringement.

Moise Kean leaps to meet an excellent cross and steers a fantastic header past the goalkeeper, inside the left post; however, the VAR review showed that there was an infringement in the build-up to the goal.

Juventus kept on pushing for the first goal but could not find a way to get past the Hellas Verona defence.

They finally got the opening goal late in injury time when Andrea Cambiaso got to the rebound after a goalmouth scramble and found the back of the net from point-blank range.

The referee blew the final whistle for the end of the game, with the game ending in a 1-0 victory for Juventus.
