Pulse Sports Uganda reported that Kajoba was en route to Tanzania Monday night to unite with Basena.
Fred Kajoba, the former Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach, is set to join his fellow countryman at Tanzanian Premier League team, Ihefu SC.
Both Kajoba and Basena were integral members of Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic's technical staff, serving as the goalkeeping and assistant coaches for the Uganda Cranes, respectively.
Their tenure ended when FUFA dismissed the Serbian coach in September 2023.
This Monday saw Basena taking the reins at Ihefu, succeeding Zuber Katwila, who led the team for three years.
Following this move, sources revealed that Kajoba is expected to serve as Basena's deputy, though an official statement from Ihefu SC is awaited.
