Patrick Odhiambo: Will he bring KCB their long-awaited league title?
The former Kakamega Homeboyz goalkeeper has joined KCB FC as head coach bringing experience and ambition to lead the team to their first league title.
Shimanyula insists that Odhiambo is still under contract with Kakamega Homeboyz until July 2025 and should not consider moving to another club.
"Let him not try to sign for another club. I have heard of the rumors, but I want to state categorically that Odhiambo is still contracted to Homeboyz. He has one and a half years left on his contract, and it binds him to Homeboyz," Shimanyula as per Africa Top Sports.

Sofapaka president Elly Kalekwa survived a severe car accident in Nairobi shortly after his team secured top league status.
The Homeboyz chair did not mince words threatening serious repercussions if Odhiambo proceeds with his move to KCB.
"If he dares move, then we will take action against him. Remember, he did the same mistake last time when he ran away despite having a contract with us and signed for Tanzanian club Biashara United," he added.
Shimanyula recounted how he had forgiven Odhiambo once before but emphasized that this time there would be no leniency.
"I forgave him then, but now I will not forgive him. He will pay dearly if he dares to leave. I will follow the rules of the game and make sure that action is taken against him," he noted.

K'Ogalo are reportedly close to signing a high-profile free agent amid interest from rival clubs.
Shimanyula continued to criticize the coach’s apparent lack of commitment, pointing out that Odhiambo had been fully compensated for his services.
"It is not like we owe him anything—his salary has been paid. Sometimes these coaches never learn; they don’t learn at all. It is unfortunate he can discuss a move to another club while he knows he has a contract with us. It will not be business as usual."
Recalling past events, Shimanyula expressed his disappointment in Odhiambo's actions.
"When he was fired in Tanzania, he came back crying to me, and I rescued him by giving him the job. He told me he would never walk away from the contract. I don’t want to talk much, but let him be warned—it will not be business as usual."
