FUFA Women's Super League champions Kampala Queens FC have officially parted ways with head coach Hamza Lutalo, ending his two-year stay at the 'palace'.

Lutalo leaves after delivering the club's only league championship which they scooped in the preceding 2022/23 season.

They managed the feat in incredible style, having won 15 of the 18 games of the season, suffering defeat just once.

The Queens beat their nearest rival, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC by a huge 14-point difference, a clear show of their dominion last campaign.

The Moses Magogo owned club now have a huge task ahead, as they hope to make a strong mark in the forthcoming CECAFA Champions League Zonal Qualifiers, slated for August in Uganda.

Kampala Queens are thus in search for a more tactically sound and experienced coach to take over reigns.

Reports had earlier in the week, pointed at former UPDF FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo, but he instead joined Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC.

Other unconfirmed reports cited former Simba Queens WFC coach Charles Ayieko, but he has since joined Busoga Province for the forthcoming FUFA Drum.

However, Ayieko would still be eligible to take on both assignments should Kampala Queens make advances.

There has also been rumours of the club appointing a foreign coach as it has a strong muscle to handle any possible financial demands.
