Rest and then start where you left off they say, and it is exactly what Kampala Queens have done as the second round of the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League got underway.

Kampala Queens finished the first round as table leaders of the 10-team log with maximum points, 27 from nine games.

The Queens' perfect run continued when they defeated Asubo Gafford Ladies 3-1 at Kampala Quality Grounds on Sunday taking their points tally to 30 after winning all their 10 games played so far.

The visitors were given an early scare when Zaitun Namaganda put the hosts ahead after 25th minute but Elizabeth Nakigozi restored parity in time added on of the first half.

After the restart, Margaret Kunihira put Kampala Queens ahead for the first time in this game with a 49th-minute strike.

Sophia Nakiyingi guaranteed the table leaders all three points when she scored the third goal in the 87th minute.

The victory ensured that Kampala Queens completed a double over Asubo having thrashed them 5-0 in the reverse fixture.
