The 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers will kick off on August 12th at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru and Lugogo Stadium.

Coach Charles Ssenyange is upbeat that Kampala Queens will be ready when the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers start next month.

The tournament will kick off on August 12th at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru and Lugogo Stadium.

“Our training sessions are going on well as we prepare for the forthcoming tournament,” Ssenyange said on Wednesday morning.

“The players who were injured are getting back in shape and have started training with the team. The players are also fired up and picking what we’re trying to teach them in camp,” Ssenyange added.

The CECAFA tournament will present coach Ssenyange’s first test at the club after joining from KCCA FC.

The FUFA Women’s Super League champions have been placed in Pool A against the Ethiopians, Buja Queens (Burundi), FAD (Djibouti) and Yei Joint stars from South Sudan.
