Former Uganda Cranes coach Jonathan McKinstry continued with his fine form after his team Gor Mahia FC beat Nairobi City Stars 1-0 to rise to the top of the table.

Umar Kasumba ensured that Bandari won their second match on the bounce with his lone goal that lifted the coastal Kenya side above Talanta on Saturday afternoon in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kasumba who started the match alongside compatriots Rogers Aloro and William Wadri was clear on goal just after eight minutes but his feeble shot was saved.

However, he was not to be denied at the stroke of halftime with a clinical finish that gave the side their fifth win of the season after 13 outings. The team sits 10th on the 18-team log with 17 points.
