As KCCA FC celebrate 60 years of existence, many memories shared by those that have been part of the club continue to be shared.

Former KCCA FC forward Brian Umony is one such person, having featured for the club for two stints.

Umony, who joined KCCA FC from Naguru Avis in 2007 while still a university student at Kyambogo University, led the Kasasiro boys to their first league title in 11 years in 2007.

He also scored 15 league goals in his first season, and he says it's a memory that remains fresh in his mind.

"I go a long way with KCCA FC, it was my first club in the top flight, and we achieved a lot; winning the league in 2007 is a memory I can't forget in my career," Umony told Pulse Sports.

"I want to wish them a happy 60th birthday and hope they continue to succeed."

The former Cranes forward had a second stint at KCCA FC in 2012 and won another league title.

He was also the 2008 Footballer of the Year and the 2014 CECAFA Kagame Cup top scorer with five goals in Kigali, Rwanda.

KCCA FC was birthed on 12th April 1963, and they have gone on to win 13 league titles, ten domestic cups, a CECAFA Kagame Cup and also became the first club to play in the CAF Champions League group stages.

The Kasasiro Boys have also had notable players in Ugandan football history feature for them, like Phillip Omondi (RIP), Jimmy Kirunda (RIP), Tom Lwanga, Jackson Mayanja, and Frank Kyazze, to mention but a few.

The club is currently modifying the MTN Omondi stadium into a state-of-the-art facility; construction is expected to be completed by 2024.
