KCCA FC’s skipper Julius Poloto has stated that the team is going for serious business when they face Libya’s Abu Salam in the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup second-round fixture.

Poloto has noted that the team is ready to fight and do better that Vipers to reach the group stages of the competition.

Vipers were booted out on arrival by Botswana giants Jwaneng Galaxy, leaving Uganda’s hopes on KCCA.
“We qualified because of the rules because we didn’t win the trophies but are not going there for formality but to compete to reach the group stages,” Poloto said ahead of their arrival to Tunisia on Friday.
The player who was part of Mike Mutebi’s team that reached the group stages of both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup has urged his team to push beyond the coach’s script and use the chance to sell themselves to bigger clubs.
