FOOTBALL Traguil handed the tools for his Ugandan job
As the Kasasiro Boys go in search of their first piece of silverware since 2019, KCCA has decided to break tradition in the appointment of their technical staff, looking outside rather than working with former players.
“Allan Okello is a player of Paradou, so Paradou has a lot of stake in having Allan Okello stay at Lugogo,” Ssekajja said.
“We are discussing with them, but the discussions are not forthcoming. I think they do still need the player.
“But we will try and do our best. Paradou have the big say.”
Like Okello, players like Mustafa Kizza, Brian Aheebwa, Benjamin Ochan, Ali Mwirusi and Brian Majwega are all out of contract at the club.

Allan Okello’s end-of-season message had goodbye tones written following the expiry of his loan move from Paradou, and it remains uncertain whether a deal will be struck to have him stay at the club.
The chairman revealed that for some, head coach Sergio Traguil would have to first arrive and have a look at them before the club decides on their future.
KCCA finished the season level on 53 points with Vipers SC but were beaten to the Startimes Uganda Premier League title on goal difference.
And with the team set to return to continental football in the CAF Confederation Cup, players of Okello’s quality and experience will come in handy.
