The team has been out of action since playing their last Startimes Uganda Premier League match against Soltilo Bright Stars on May 27th.

The KCCA FC senior team will return to training on Sunday as preseason gets underway.

Now Under new manager Sergio Traguil, the team will be returning to the pitch for the first time since May.

The team has been out of action since playing their last Startimes Uganda Premier League match against Soltilo Bright Stars on May 27th.

Then, it was Jackson Mayanja in charge, and KCCA won 5-0 but still fell short as rivals Vipers SC ran away with the league title.

“The team is set to undergo an intensive preseason program that is filled with a series of schedules to prepare the players ahead of a very busy 2023/24 season,” communication from the club revealed on Friday.

“The Head Coach Sergio Traguil and his technical team have already met the players and laid out expectations ahead of the preseason and the 2023/24 season.

“A series of friendly games have been lined up to get the players conditioned and prepared for the new season.”

With about a month until the team’s first CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary match, Tragil will be in a race against time to have the players ready for action.

KCCA will feature in the FUFA Super 8 tournament, which is slated to kick off on August 4th and run through the 14th.

The Super 8 tournament is played by the top eight clubs from the previous UPL season.

KCCA FC will also face Vipers in the FUFA Super Cup 2023.

The Kasasiro Boys will, however, have most of the focus on dates between August 18 and 20th, when they are expected to play the first leg of the preliminary round for the CAF Confederation Cup.
