Subsequently, SSFA and Cusin will not be entering a new agreement, prompting an immediate search by the federation for a new national team manager.

Emmanuel Loki, KCCA FC's South Sudanese striker, will soon have a new national team head coach following the departure of Stefano Cusin.

The Italian tactician's contract with the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFA) expired today, September 30, 2023.

Subsequently, SSFA and Cusin will not be entering a new agreement, prompting an immediate search by the federation for a new national team manager.

Reports are circulating that the 54-year-old Cusin could be considering a move to Comoros, one of the prominent names discussed for the currently vacant head coach position there.

Loki is among several South Sudan nationals who play in Uganda, joining the likes of Ivan Wani of BUL FC, Atendele Geriga and goalkeeper Richard Anyama of Arua Hill SC, and Joseph Dhata of NEC FC.

Having joined KCCA FC on the concluding day of the recent transfer window, Loki came as a free agent after his contract with Soltilo Bright Stars FC expired.

In the last season, he played a pivotal role, helping Bright Stars secure the ninth position in the 15-team SUPL log with 35 points.

During this period, he scored five league goals, with only Nelson Ssenkatuka surpassing him with eight goals at the club.

Loki's arrival at KCCA is a significant addition, especially since the club has seen the departure of their 2022/23 top scorers, Rogers Mato and Allan Okello, who scored eleven and six goals, respectively.

He will compete with other new signings like Angolan Openga Katenga and Muhammad Shaban in the hunt for KCCA goals.

Loki has inked a two-year contract, hoping to make a substantial impact at Lugogo.

This success could translate to more game time for him in the national team under the yet-to-be-appointed new head coach.
