Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC have, at long last, unveiled tactician Abdallah Mubiru as their new head coach.

Mubiru has put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract that will run at least until 2025.

Meanwhile, Mubiru is a direct replacement for Portuguese national Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil, who was sacked after four months in the seat following woeful results in the league and the CAF Confederation Cup.

Mubiru's most recent coaching role was at Tanzania Premier League side Mbeya City FC, which he left towards the start of the 2023/24 season.

The former Proline FC, Vipers SC and Police FC coach has since been without a coaching job.

In September this year, Mubiru refused FUFA's offer to take charge of the National Senior Women's Football team, the Crested Cranes.

Following a dreadful start to the season as they lost the first five games, KCCA are starting to pick up momentum as they have picked four points out of a possible six.
