In partnership with the Parliament of Uganda, National Identification and Registration Authority(NIRA) and KCCA FC are scheduled to organize a national ID registration on Friday, 19th May 2023, expected to happen at the MTN Omondi stadium.

The campaign is open for all persons who wish to register for their national identification cards, but the emphasis is on minors below 16 years and will take place from 9 am to 6 pm.

According to club spokesperson Moses Magero, the partnership that the club shares with the parliament were able to facilitate this exercise.

"Parliament was able to reach out to the club about the initiative from NIRA, and we are more than happy to host them due to our partnership which has been successful thus far," Magero told Pulse Sports.

For minors below 16 years, parents should carry their original national identification cards for registration while the birth notification records/immunization cards for birth certificate registration.

"That is not the main intention of the club since it's an initiative spearheaded by the parliament and NIRA, but it will help us appeal to the younger audience that will come for the exercise," Magero added.

A friendly match between the Parliament of Uganda and the National Identification Registration Authority team will also occur at 3 pm at the stadium to conclude the day's activities.
