Globally, there has been a drive among leading clubs to improve their engagement with their fans for a better experience and increase sales of tickets and merchandise.

KCCA vice chairman Aggrey Ashaba has revealed that the club intends to improve on the club’s engagement with its fans.

Ashaba said that during the launch of the club’s membership cards.

“The KCCA FC Fans’ Membership Card will help us plan for our fans better given that we shall have a database of our fans that will help us inform our planning for future activities that involve our fans,” he said.

Benefits

The club unveiled four different categories of membership cards ranging from annual to lifetime. The annual membership costs shs.20,000, five-year cards go for shs.80,000, ten-year at shs.150,000 while the lifetime subscription goes for shs.1 million. The subscriptions are renewed yearly.

The card holders are allowed to attend the club’s annual general meetings, vote and contest for fans' leadership and a 4 percent discount on all club merchandise.

However, the membership is not the same as seasonal tickets.
