Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions, KCCA FC are not messing around as far as moulding their new-look technical staff, as part of the team's renaissance.
According to sources at the club, new head coach, Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil has requested the club for a native as the Junior Team head coach.
The club has thus zeroed on Saka Mpiima, who has served the role under Jackson Mayanja in the interim.
The only challenge is that Traguil, reportedly wants every member of his team on a permanent basis yet Mpiima currently serves as the head coach at Dynamic Senior School.
In the other changes expected at the MTN Omondi Stadium, former Express FC coach Daniel Kiwanuka is all but certain as the new goalkeepers coach.
Kiwanuka will be returning to Lugogo after serving for five years in a similar role under Mike Mutebi, between 2015 to October 2020.
Under Mutebi, with Kiwanuka as goalkeepers coach, KCCA won three Uganda Premier League titles, two Uganda Cups and reached the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Kiwanuka has also previously served as goalkeepers coach at the Uganda national U17 boys and girls' teams.
Over the years, he has handled goalkeepers like Charles Lukwago, Benjamin Ochan, Hassan Matovu, Bashir Ssekagya among others.
