UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE KCCA too good for Mbarara City

KCCA, under head coach Abdallah Mubiru, have now won five league games on the bounce, the best of any team in that time.

Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC continued their excellent league form with a superb 4-0 victory over Mbarara City FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Thursday.

Goals from Ashraf Mugume, Ettiene Katenga and a Muhammad Shaban brace ensured three points for the Kasasiro Boys at the expense of the Ankole Lions

KCCA, under head coach Abdallah Mubiru, have now won five league games on the bounce, the best of any team in that time.

Mugume opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a beautifully taken freekick past goalkeeper Ronald Mutebi.

At the half-hour mark, Shaban doubled his team's lead through a perfectly placed penalty, to round off the half in comfort.

Four minutes after restart, Shaban completed his brace before Katenga added a fourth in the 54th minute.

KCCA are now sixth on the log with 38 points in 23 matches. They visit Soltilo Bright Stars FC in their nex match at Kavumba Recreation Center on April 25.

On the other hand, Mbarara are 11th on the 16-team table with 28 points. They will host strugglers UPDF FC at Kakyeka Stadium, on April 26.
