Allan Okello needed just 10 minutes to put his name on the score sheet after punishing Onduparaka’s poor defending to open the scoring.

The fixture between KCCA FC and Onduparaka has been one-sided in terms of results but provided memories that might never be forgotten.

KCCA have dominated the fixture, winning nine and drawing twice in 12 meetings against the Arua-based side.

One of the special memories is the arrival of Allan Okello on the Startimes Uganda Premier League scene.

The left-footed magician made his name in this particular fixture.

On February 27, 2017, then KCCA coach Mike Mutebi used a fully-packed MTN Omondi Stadium to hand Okello his senior KCCA debut.

At the age of 16 years, and just after being named the MVP of the FUFA Juniors League, Okello took the opportunity with open arms.

Okello was the main protagonist in one of the most well-attended games in the league as the hosts demolished Onduparaka 7-0.

The new kid on the block needed just 10 minutes to put his name on the score sheet after punishing Onduparaka’s poor defending to open the scoring.

Just before the halftime break, the playmaker was put through on goal by midfielder Ivan Ntege to get his second.

Paul Musamali, Robert Ssentongo (2) and Geoffrey Sserunkuma all scored before Okello completed his hattrick with the game’s seventh goal, after which he ran to Mutebi to appreciate his faith and trust.

Two assists for Ssentongo’s goals completed an all-round performance to mark Okello’s arrival on the big stage.

Okello has since been to Paradou in Algeria for a professional stint but is now back at Lugogo to help the Kasasiro Boys in the fight for the league title.

With Onduparaka visiting Lugogo for yet another league clash, Okello will be hoping to roll back the years.

KCCA are hunting for the title and can go top of the log with victory on Tuesday while the visitors are fighting to maintain their league status at the end of the season.

The hosts have won two in a row under interim coach Jackson Mayanja to revive their title ambitions.
