FOOTBALL KCCA's Angolan Gonzaga wants to 'raise the level of football' in Uganda

The 27 year old penned a two year deal until 2025 and he becomes the first Angolan to play for the Kasasiro Boys.

Moments after being unveiled as the second signing at KCCA FC, Angolan native Aires Emilson Gonzaga has promised bliss, not only at Lugogo but to the league as well.

The 27 year old penned a two year deal until 2025 and he becomes the first Angolan to play for the Kasasiro Boys.

Gonzaga, a center back, has previously played at Clube Desportivo da Huíla and Kabuscorp in Angola.

"I'm excited to be here in Uganda and to be joining KCCA FC," Gonzaga spoke to the club in his first ever interview on Ugandan soil.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity and I want to make a positive impact on the Ugandan football scene.I believe that I can help to raise the level of footballer in the country."

"There are a lot of young players coming up in Uganda, and I think they have the potential to be very successfully”

Gonzaga added: "I'm excited to be a part of this, and I’m confident that we can make KCCA FC a force to be reckoned with in African football."

He joins 21 year-old Brazilian forward Joao Gabriel Estevez Cardoso, as the first signings for head coach Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil.
