Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (BSC) has defended the title of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League, after a 3-2 win over Nmanko Patigi BSC in the final match of the last phase in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital.
Suleiman Abdullahi's goal and two goals from Adams Taiwo gave Kebbi Fishers the victory.
The squad won their second league title by reclaiming the championship they had previously lost to Kada BSC at home.
After defeating the Kwara State-based team, they increased their advantage to seven points, having already won the championship with a 3-0 victory over Ibom BSC.
Prior to that, the 2022 champions Kada BSC needed extra time to defeat Kebbi United BSC 7-6.
Dozie Frank scored six of the seven goals for the Kada Stars in a match that ended 4-4 after three periods.
Kebbi BSC finished the season with 25 points, 25 ahead of Nmanko Patigi BSC, who had 18 points.

After both teams were locked at 17 points, Kada BSC, who had a better goal differential of 14, beat out Kebbi United BSC, who was making its debut, to take third place.
With one point each, Ibom BSC and Smart City BSC finished the season as the bottom two teams.
Taiwo Adams of Kebbi BSC received the most valuable player award, and teammate Arome Isah grinned at the crowd.
Kada BSC’s Dozie Frank with 16 goals scooped the highest goal scorer award as Kebbi United’s Hassan Abdullahi won the rising star prize.
