Manchester United legend Owen Hargreaves has slammed Erik ten Hag's summer signing, insisting he is not good enough to lead the club to success.
Owen Hargreaves has expressed his doubts about Manchester United's chances of winning trophies this season, following the Red Devils' defeat to Liverpool.
He believes the team's summer signings, including Joshua Zirkzee, are 'filler' players who won't make a significant impact.
Zirkzee, who only scored 11 goals for Bologna last season, was wasteful against Liverpool, showing a lack of killer instinct in the box.

Hargreaves says Zirkzee isn't good enough to lead Manchester United to titles
Speaking about United's signings, Hargreaves said.
"I quite like him [Zirkzee], he's not a Haaland killer who's going to get you 40 goals.
“In our team he would have been a good squad player, he would have been the third or fourth guy but if you want to win, you need a guy at the top of the pitch who is ruthless.
"You need a guy who's a killer, like Ruud [Van Nistelrooy]," Hargreaves emphasised.
The former Red Devil also criticised Manchester United's transfer strategy, saying,
"I think Man United should only sign players they think can win them the Premier League and Champions League, otherwise keep the money."
Ten Hag's men have started the season with two defeats in their opening three games and will hope to return to winning ways against Southampton after the international break.
