Kenya Police midfielder Kenneth Muguna has expressed his desire to remain with the club following their historic FKF Cup victory last Saturday.
Muguna, who joined Kenya Police on a free transfer from Azam TV last July, has been pivotal in helping the team secure their first major silverware and qualify for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Reflecting on the club's triumph and his future, Muguna praised the club’s board, led by chairman Chris Oguso, for their unwavering support and commitment to the team.
"When you have board members doing their job right, the pressure now becomes about whether you can deliver as a player. They give you what you want, so you have to make sure you are worth it,” Muguna told Buzz Sports.

"I have enjoyed my time with Police. I love the team and want to play for them again and again and again. I have a good relationship with both the chairman, CEO, and treasurer.
"The contract issue will be handled internally. Once a decision is made, it will be released to the public,” Muguna revealed. “They are the ones who should speak about it. It will be disrespectful if I speak about it now without their permission.”

The former AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia coach left Kenya Police on very bad terms barely two months after his appointment, and Muguna has explained what led to the fallout.
Muguna’s commitment to the club is clear, as he reflects on their challenging journey to the FKF Cup final, where they defeated several top-flight teams, including Posta Rangers, AFC Leopards, and Sofapaka, before triumphing over KCB in the final.
“The run was good. Our route to the final was not easy. We played the likes of Posta, AFC Leopards, Sofapaka, and the side from Mombasa. These are organized teams, so to beat them was not easy. It was also the Police's first ever major trophy in history, so that makes me very happy,” Muguna said.
Looking ahead, Muguna emphasized the board’s expectations for the team to replicate their domestic success on the continental stage in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
“In the continental, they will not expect anything less. They expect that cup even if it will be the first time. The players are ready, and when we get back, we will prepare and see how far we can go.”
