Guardiola confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne will still be with his team for next season.

Pep Guardiola has firmly dismissed speculation linking Kevin De Bruyne with a move away from Manchester City.

Amidst rumours of a potentially lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, the City manager has asserted that the Belgian midfielder will remain at the club.

Recall that Pulse Sports earlier reported that Kevin De Bruyne commented about being linked with a move to the oil-rich Saudi Arabia.

Guardiola satisfied with his squad

Guardiola emphasised his satisfaction with the current squad and suggested that there would be minimal changes before the transfer window closes.

However, he acknowledged the possibility of departures and stressed that the team's core would remain intact.

The manager also confirmed the return of Kalvin Phillips from his loan spell at West Ham and expressed excitement about the potential of new signing Savinho.

“Kevin is not going,” Guardiola said at a press conference at North Carolina State University on Monday ahead of City’s opening U.S. tour match against Celtic via Dail Mail.

“I am delighted with the squad for many years. I don’t know what will happen in the market, if someone leaves, we will talk about that.

“But 85-95% we (will) have the same squad. We’ve made an impact in the market (over the years) and every situation is different. I feel comfortable because the quality we have in the squad is difficult to replace.”

“Savinho can play on the wing, and when he is one-v-one, he is devastating.

“He is young and to bring in one or two players to keep things fresh, it is necessary but we cannot change six or seven. It is impossible and unsustainable.

“Many players want to come here but we didn’t get agreements from the clubs and when they ask a very high price we don’t do it,” the Spaniard added.

With the Cityzen's Premier League season kicking off against Chelsea on August 18, Guardiola and Manchester City are focused on defending their title with their current squad.
