Last season, URA signed Joshua Lubwama from Kyabaggu, while forward Moses Aliro and goalkeeping coach Swaibu Ssebagala joined the club last month.
Uganda Premier League side URA FC announced the acquisition of forward Sharif Kimbowa on Tuesday, joining a host of other players that have joined the Tax Collectors so far this transfer window.
The move to the Lugazi-based side from Wakiso Giants FC reunites Kimbowa with three others with whom he was employed at the latter.
Kimbowa has penned down a two-year contract with Sam Timbe’s coached side until the end of the 2024/25 season.
He was an integral part of the Purple Sharks scoring nine times in 24 games during his two-year stay at Kyabaggu Stadium.
Last season, URA signed Joshua Lubwama from Kyabaggu, while forward Moses Aliro and goalkeeping coach Swaibu Ssebagala joined the club last month.
Ssebagala signed for URA after spending a year at Bright Stars FC, a side he joined at the start of the 2022/23 campaign from Wakiso.
Besides Kimbowa and Aliro, defender Enock Walusimbi, midfielder Ibrahim Wammanah, and goalkeepers Denis Otim and Rogers Omedwa are some of the top names URA has landed so far, with others expected to join before the season starts.
Some top players have also departed, including Benjamin Nyakoojo, Salim Abdallah, Living Kabon, Ronald Kigongo, Patrick Mbowa, and George Ssenkaaba.
The Tax Collector will host Arua Hill SC at Mehta Stadium, Lugazi, in the FUFA Super 8 as they prepare for the new season.
They finished fifth in the 2022/23 season, and they will be hoping for a better 2023/24 campaign, given their kind of transfers business.
