The club suspended the coach on January 23rd, on allegations of abusing, threatening and sidelining players among others.

As earlier anticipated, Kitara has finally parted ways with coach Mark Twinamsiko before completing his two-month suspension.

The club suspended the coach on January 23rd, on allegations of abusing, threatening and sidelining players among others.

The club went ahead to appoint Sam Ssimbwa with his full board less than two weeks into Twinamasiko’s suspension.

When Pulse Sports questioned the club chief executive officer Joshua Atugonza on Twinamsiko’s situation in line with Ssimbwa’s arrival, he hinted at the obvious.

“..from what I see, his position has already been occupied though we will have to sit and determine that when the two months are over.”

Kitara announced their decision on Friday night without divulging any further explanations.

“Kitara Football Club announces that it reached a mutual agreement with coach Mark Twinamsiko to terminate his working contract,” the statement partly read.

Kitara reclaimed the top spot last Thursday after edging Lugazi 1-0 in Hoima.
