Newly-crowned FUFA Big League champions Kitara FC have declared that they collected a whooping shs.38 million from their final game against Kaaro Karungi on Thursday.
The Hoima side had to cling to an early penalty goal by Paul Mucureezi to survive their Ibanda neighbours in a match that was totally sold out.
There was no space to accommodate extra people inside the Kigaaya grounds as fans thronged the facility as early as 10 AM.

FUFA BIG LEAGUE Hooray! Kitara clinch Big League championship
Kitara Football Club have rounded off a dominant 2022/23 FUFA Big League season with a championship, having secured promotion to the topflight last week.
“We wish to declare that we realized 38.1 million shillings from today’s gate collections,” the statement signed by the club president Deo Kasozi reads.
“As we enter the Uganda Premier League, we promise a competitive performance,” Kasozi promised.
Kitara was promoted alongside Mbarara City and NEC.
