Having left his post as UPDF Football Club head coach on Wednesday in a formal resignation, Brian Ssenyondo is set to be unveiled as new head coach at Kitara FC.
An official statement is set to be out after his unveiling that is slated for Wednesday at Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala.
The youthful coach, who joined UPDF FC in July 2021, signing a two-year employment contract, has decided against renewing.
"Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position as head coach of UPDF FC, effective from today 14th july 2023 (June 2023)," the resignation letter partly said.
"I appreciate the opportunities for growth and development you have provided during my tenure," Ssenyondo added.
Meanwhile currently, Kitara have been without a coach, having parted ways with Sam Ssimbwa, who led them to the topflight as champions of the FUFA Big League.
Initially, reports had linked Ssenyondo to FUFA Women's Super League champions Kampala Queens, and that he would work with Tonny Mawejje, but that has since been quashed.
