Following the win, BUL moved into second with 43 points, one adrift of leaders Kitara FC, and two ahead of third-placed Vipers SC who have played two games fewer.

After five failed attempts, BUL FC managed to bounce back to winning ways, managing a 3-0 thrashing of Wakiso Giants FC in the Uganda Premier League.

An Alex Kitata brace and one from Jeromy Kirya guided the Eastern Giants to three points at home turf, the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Saturday.

Kirya opened the scoring in the 25th minute, striking a thunderous low drive off a Pascal Ngobi pass past goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya.

Nine minutes after the break, Kitata got his name on the scoresheet with a decent finish to the bottom right corner after being released by Ibrahim Mugulusi.

Kitata then completed his brace in the 72nd minute with an easy finish after sloppy defending from the Wakiso Giants backline.

Following the win, BUL moved into second with 43 points, one adrift of leaders Kitara FC, and two ahead of third-placed Vipers SC who have played two games fewer.

On the other hand, Wakiso Giants stayed 12th on the log with 26 points after 23 matches.

While BUL will return to league action against Express in Njeru on April 20, Wakiso will play Busoga six days later.
