Kizito Luwagga got off the mark at new side Hapoel Rishon Lezion in their narrow 1-0 victory over Ihud Bnei Shefa-Amr in the country's second football division.

The Uganda Cranes attacker scored the team's sole goal on the night of his debut, in a night to remember and cherish.

Luwagga won the team's first campaign game in the Israeli Leumit League.

This comes only a week after he made his move from FK Sabail in Azerbaijan.

The club aims at earning promotion into the top division at the end of the 2023/24 season.

In Israel, Kizito has played football at two clubs, including Hapoel Kfar Saba and Nof HaGilil, netting 12 times in 70 appearances.

Kizito has previously featured for Vipers SC, Leixoes, Covilha, Rio Ave, Feirense (loan), Bate Borisov (loan), Sabail and Shakhter Karagandy.
