The winners were set to receive their cash awards earlier, but due to a delayed submission of some athletes' bank accounts, there was a delay in the disbursement of the funds.

However, 30% of the athletes have submitted their bank accounts and the Kenya Academy of Sports is set to begin the disbursement from as early as this week.

Regarding that, the academy has sent its officers to begin the process in the Central Rift and Western regions from Friday, February 9 to Saturday as plans to host bigger and better editions get underway.

Plans are also unfolding to involve more disciplines in the highly competitive youngster's tournament.
