The newly promoted outfit has been properly welcomed back in the NPFL by the Pride of Benue and their superb local gem.
He was scouted on the streets of Benue by his club Lobi Stars but Kumaga Suur has taken the Nigeria Premier Football League by storm.
Suur was at his inspirational best once again as Lobi Stars destroyed newly promoted club Bayelsa United 3-0 in a week four encounter in Jos on Sunday evening.
The talented young forward was the man of the match after he scored a brace, with his teammate, Umar Abba, also on the score sheet for the Pride of Benue.
Suur’s impact
All the goals were scored in an explosive second half from the home side, with Suur grabbing his brace in a blistering ten-minute space.
After two cameo shows to kickstart his career in the football league, the young forward seems to have settled down quickly to life in the NPFL.
In his first start for the club, Suur netted the only goal as Lobi Stars went, saw and conquered Abia Warriors in Umuahia last Sunday.
He was rewarded with his second start of the season and Suur has repaid his manager Baba Ganaru’s faith with another outstanding performance.
His latest match-winning performance saw him score two goals to take his tally to three goals in his last two matches in the NPFL.
What the result means
With the win, the Pride of Benue have moved up to second on the table in Group B with nine points, just one adrift of leaders Rivers United.
Meanwhile, the visitors, Bayelsa United, are five points adrift of their conquerors in eighth, with four points from a possible 12.
