The PSG forward’s brace on Wednesday means this season is his most prolific for the Parisians, but how many goals does he currently have?
Kylian Mbappe’s 2034-24 season at Paris Saint-Germain is his most prolific, having notched a brace in the Parisians’ 4-1 victory at Lorient on Wednesday.
Lorient vs PSG
Luis Enrique’s men went into the rescheduled gameweek 29 fixture keen to record their 20th win of the campaign and extend an undefeated run in the top flight to 25 matches.
Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele returned to the lineup against Les Merlus, who had secured four points from six against PSG in two Ligue 1 games before Wednesday. However, Regis Le Bris could not mastermind another positive result against the champions-elect, with the Frenchmen wreaking havoc at Stade du Moustoir.

I still hope — Luis Enrique scares Real Madrid as he reveals how Mbappe can stay at PSG
The saga of Kylian Mbappe's potential departure from PSG to Real Madrid continues with coach Luis Enrique's optimism and Mbappe's cryptic silence, leaving fans in suspense.
Kylian Mbappe outdoes his previous best for PSG
Mbappe had netted 24 Ligue 1 goals before the rescheduled game — well shy of his 33 league goals for Paris in the 2018-19 season — but 17 strikes in other competitions put the 2018 World Cup winner on the brink of eclipsing his best tally for an entire season — 42 in 2020-21.
Mbappe doubled PSG's advantage to notch his first of the evening, scoring three minutes after Dembele's 19th-minute opener, and the 25-year-old netted his brace in the final moments to complete the scoring.
The upshot of that late strike means the PSG star has outperformed every other goalscoring season at the Paris-based club, with his tally now 43 goals.
What comes next for Mbappe and PSG?
Even though Mbappe is expected to depart PSG at the end of the season, the Frenchman could still win multiple honours with the Parisians in 2023-24.
Enrique’s men could seal their 12th Ligue 1 crown against third-bottom Le Havre in gameweek 31; they face Lyon in the Coupe De France final at the end of May and could play in the Champions League final on June 1 if they get past Borussia Dortmund test in the competition's last four.
