Four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA Football Club have finally unveiled midfielder Laban Tibita.
The 2022/23 League Midfielder of the Season has penned down a two-year employment contract after exiting Busoga United.
“I am happy to be here and I want to make my time count. I want to help the club win trophies," Tibita was quoted by the club website.
"URA FC is a big club and totally different from my previous club but I am ready to serve.”
Tibita had an impressive 2022/23 season that had him help Busoga survive relegation as skipper before being named in the team of the season and his club's MVP.
Last season, he accumulated 27 appearances, scored seven goals, managed four assists and was scooped five Man of the Match awards.
He is also a Busoga province player in the ongoing FUFA Drum tournament and has been influential this season, netting two goals so far.
Besides Busoga United, Tibita has also previously played for Maroons FC, Tooro United and Makerere University.
