Lagos Street Soccer championship will kick off in October.
Ahead of the kick off of the Lagos Street Soccer championship, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, has unveiled its plan to host the grand finale of the championship.
Olakanle indicated the interest in hosting the 2023 Lagos Street Soccer championship finals while receiving the Lagos Street Soccer committee led by its chairman, Bolaji Yusuf, in his office.

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has been thrown into confusion following an immediate postponement of the 2023/2024 season.
During his address to the delegation, Olakanle stated that the two football centers strategically positioned within the LCDA are acceptable venues for such a large event.
According to him, the LCDA is dedicated to continue improving the facilities based on technical recommendations made by the committee when inspecting the sports centers in order to increase their prospects of hosting the final.

Before giving the hosting rights to one of the prospective bidders, he pledged that his team will visit the facilities and make recommendations.
"The Lagos Street Soccer Championship has returned. Our mandate is to resurrect and improve specific areas as grassroots football makes a comeback," Yusuf explained.
