Cole Palmer has apparently gotten on the nerves of a LaLiga star with his recent antics

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is facing backlash from Valencia winger Diego Lopez, who refuses to acknowledge Palmer’s attempt to trademark the "cold" celebration.

Lopez, who claims he has been using the gesture for years, insists he has no plans to stop doing it despite recent moves by Palmer to patent the celebration.

Lopez unimpressed by Palmer’s trademark attempt

Palmer filed for a trademark on the "cold" celebration with the European Union Intellectual Property Office in December, mirroring a similar move by England teammate Jude Bellingham.

However, Lopez remains unmoved by Palmer’s actions, making it clear in a recent interview with Relevo that he will continue using the celebration.

When informed about Palmer’s trademark, Lopez responded, “I haven’t received the receipt yet… I don’t know if it’s because he doesn’t have my address, because they haven’t given it to him or why.

If you want, I can explain that I have been doing this celebration for four years, and I will continue to do it. In fact, I hope to do it more often because it will mean that I have scored a lot of goals.”

Valencia winger stays focused on relegation battle

Lopez, currently in red-hot form, has scored four goals in his last four matches for Valencia and has performed the “cold” celebration each time.

Despite the ongoing feud with Palmer, the Spanish youngster is more concerned with helping his team escape relegation in LaLiga.

Lopez remains determined to prove his worth, not just in his celebrations, but in keeping Los Che in the Spanish top flight.

Whether Palmer chooses to challenge him further remains uncertain, but Lopez appears unbothered and fully focused on his football.
