Ahead of Tuesday’s game, the Blues interim manager says the Gunners’ deserve respect for what they have done.

Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard believes that Arsenal are still in a good position to win the Premier League despite their recent run.

The Gunners have not been in great form, dropping crucial points in their recent games, which has seen them go without a win in four games. In their last match, they were outclassed by Manchester City, who won by a tangible margin of 4-1.

City’s Sunday win over Fulham saw them go top and Arsenal will look to reclaim their position at the summit by beating Chelsea on Tuesday.

"Of course," Lampard stated when asked whether he thinks Arsenal really are still in with a shout of the title.

"There's enough games left for jeopardy to be there at the top and bottom ends of the table, I would say. I think they're fully in it. Manchester City are showing incredible form, and we all respect that.

"You also have to respect what Arsenal have done this year, and they'll believe they're still in it, and rightly so."

The Gunners are seen as a wounded animal after draws against Liverpool, West Ham United, and Southampton and a loss against City.

Asked whether it is the best time to face Arsenal, Lampard said; "It could be either way. I think they're very much in the hunt still to win the Premier League.

"Fantastic team, who have had a great season. If they’re wounded slightly, that could give a big reaction, if we can make things difficult for them, it could feel different. That one is a hard one to call."

The Blues interim coach also gave an injury update on Kalidou Koulibaly; "Yeah, out for a while still," he revealed.

"I think it will be a tight call for the season, he's working away. Been impressed with him actually as a professional, he's doing his job very well. Unfortunately, the injury is a bit of a tough one."

While a win at the Emirates will be a key outcome for the Blues, a defeat will be a major blow to Arsenal’s bid to end a 19-year wait for a league title.
