Chelsea interim boss Frank Lampard speaks on Todd Bhoely's involvement in the team.
Chelsea's principal owner, Todd Bhoely, has come under criticism in recent times for his high level of involvement in the club's day-to-day, but interim boss Frank Lampard says he is comfortable with Bhoely's heightened input.
Lampard was hired by the American owner on an interim basis following the sacking of two managers before him, including Graham Potter, and despite the reported micromanagement style of Bhoely, the 44-year-old believes he is only protecting his investment.
What Lampard said
The Chelsea record scorer and now manager was speaking in the pre-game press conference ahead of the Champions League second-leg quarter-final clash against Real Madrid when he was asked his thoughts on Todd Bhoely's involvement in the team.
He responded by saying he was comfortable with the American's involvement, drawing comparisons with former owner Roman Abramovich, who he said used to be criticized for his lack of involvement.
Lampard believes the 49-year-old businessman is only protecting his investment, and his constant presence only shows that he wants the best for the team.
