Italian side Lazio have started negotiations with Manchester United for the signing of outcast Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood was accused of attempted rape, assault, and controlling coercive behaviour, and United's management decided he needed to depart Old Trafford.
Last season, Lazio attempted to sign Greenwood on loan but were unsuccessful before the Englishman joined Getafe.
The Serie A giants have returned this summer for the forward in an attempt to bring him to Italy.

Lazio want Greenwood
Lazio president Claudio Lotito attempted to sign Greenwood but was unable to sign the forward when he was made available for loan last September.
However, according to the Sun, the Italian side have started making moves for the forward and are currently negotiating with Man United.
The 22-year-old Greenwood is still listed on United's team list, with his Old Trafford contract set to expire in 2025.
He blamed United for failing to complete the paperwork in time before the Italian transfer window closed, leaving Spanish club Getafe able to swoop in.
Last season, Greenwood won the Player of the Season Award for La Liga side Getafe after an impressive loan spell.
United is seeking £40 million for the academy graduate, but Lazio and Juventus think they can get a deal done for about £34 million, including add-ons.
Last season, Lazio placed seventh and earned a spot in the Europa League, while Juventus finished third and advanced to the Champions League.
Greenwood is reportedly being offered a three-year contract worth £100,000 per week by Juventus.
