NEC leads the pack with 33 points, Kitara and Mbarara City follow with one and two lesser while Police close the quartet with 30. A hot contest!
Coach Michael ‘Skills’ Lukyamuzi has said that NEC is under no pressure despite the fact that they’re leading the StarTimes FUFA Big League table by a small margin.
The side related to the UPDF assumed control of the league last match day after their fellow competitors Kitara collapsed under their own weight.
The leaders travel across the city to Kavumba to pay a visit to Police with an aim of consolidating their lead.
“We don’t feel any pressure because we handle all games according to our plan,” Lukyamuzi said ahead of the encounter.
“We have to fight and win the games because, definitely, we can't remain at the top without winning.”
Revenge mission
NEC leads the pack with 33 points, Kitara and Mbarara City follow with one and two lesser while Police close the quartet with 30. A hot contest!
The leaders won the first-round affair 2-0 but the Cops promise revenge to cut the gap.
“The boys have been prepared well because this team beat us in the first round. However, a lot has changed since then; we’ve improved a lot and won several games. So, I hope we play our best,” Angelo Lonyesi, Police head coach commented.
The Cops welcome captain Joseph Sentume and custodian Davis Mutebi from suspension. Midfielders Reagan Male and Shafik Avemah are still recoverying.
