Police FC shared spoils with Kyetume FC in a goalless stalemate in the BetPawa Big League at Nakisunga Ssaza Ground on Sunday.
Despite dropping two points, Cops maintained their top spot on the 15-team log with 23 points after ten games, but on the other hand, the chasing pack is closing in.
Lugazi FC and Blacks Power FC are the other two teams occupying promotional positions and were both victorious on the day.
Lugazi edged Kataka FC 2-1 at Mbale Municipal Stadium thanks to Sam Ssemugugu's brace in the 34th and 87th minutes.
Marcus Aka scored Kataka's goal in the 39th minute. The hosts squandered a chance to lead the game when Lugazi's goalkeeper Fahad Emran saved Swamad Okur's penalty kick in the 29th minute.
Meanwhile, Blacks Power returned to winning way with a 2-0 win over Calvary FC through Innocent Maduuka and Jackson Wabuleeta's goals in the seventh and 27th minute, respectively, at Akii Bua Stadium in Lira.
Lugazi and Black Power are separated by a single point in the second and third positions. The former has gathered 21 points from 10 games compared to the latter's 20 points after 11 outings.
There were also victories for Onduparaka FC, Kiyinda Boys FC, and Young Elephants FC on Matchday 11 of the Big League.
Action will resume on Sunday, December 10th, with seven games, including a pulsating contest between Mbale Heroes FC hosting Black Power at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Matchday 12.
