Mubiru started only two games for Express against Maroons FC and Blacks Power FC while he was used more as a second-half substitute including the Red Eagles' game against his current club KCCA at Lugogo.

KCCA FC's new signing Hassan Mubiru did not play a lot of games in the Uganda Premier League with his former club Express FC but hopes to do so at Lugogo.

The youngster believes that tasting league football at Wankulukuku was a short but helpful experience for him.

“I did not play enough at Express but I am grateful for the few games in which I was given a chance,” Mubiru said in an interview with KCCA Media.

“That short experience enabled me to know what I should expect in the league which I believe is a tough competition.”

“But I have joined one of the best clubs and with hard work, I expect to play as many games as possible and that will help me get more used to the league and the other competitions.”

He added: “I am aware of the competition for places at this great club but it is such competition that helps the team to perform well and the players to improve.”

Mubiru started only two games for Express against Maroons FC and Blacks Power FC while he was used more as a second-half substitute including the Red Eagles' game against his current club KCCA at Lugogo.

The winger signed a five-year contract with the 13-time UPL champions during the January transfer window until January 2028.

He came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute during KCCA's 3-0 victory over Kataka FC in the Uganda Cup to mark his debut.
