The StarTimes Uganda Premier League is set to resume on 9th February.

Uganda Premier League title sponsors StarTimes Uganda are going all out when the second round resumes.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Pilsner Uganda premier league monthly awards in Kampala on Friday, StarTimes Africa vice president Aldrine Nsubuga stressed that as main sponsors, a lot more ideas have been created to have more engagements with fans.

“Ahead of the second round, we’ve got a few new initiatives which haven’t been there designed to make the league more exciting and attract more fans.”

“We’ve created a slogan 'The race is on, it’s all about the title', we want everyone to use that to hype the games.

The gap is very small between the top six on the log so I think it adds to the excitement and anticipation.”

Nsubuga was also quick to add that a few night games will be on card with fan parks in selected areas to encourage fans to support the league.

“We’re introducing night games at least twice every match day which is something fans have longed for."

"The MTN Omondi stadium and the St. Mary’s stadium are both on track, we also intend to introduce the goal of the week, star and team of the week and fantasy team of the week all voted by fans,” he noted.
