Leicester City have confirmed there is no end in sight for Nigeria's Kelechi Iheanacho's injury woes.

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho is facing an uncertain period on the sidelines according to his Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca.

Pulse Sports Nigeria can report that Iheanacho was not listed for Leicester’s FA Cup clash against Millwall due to an injury that has forced him out of AFCON.

As reported by Pulse Sports, Nigeria Super Eagles will be without Iheanacho and his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi when they kick off their Africa Cup of Nations Campaign against Equatorial Guinea later this month.

The 27-year-old is currently at his club in England, having missed their last two games due to the injury, with his last game for the club against Ipswich Town on Boxing Day.

Speaking ahead on their trip to Millwall, Leicester City manager, Maresca, looked frustrated as he noted that his Nigerian forward would not be part of the travelling squad.

According to him, Iheanacho is still not 100% fit, with his return date unknown.

“I don’t know (when Iheanacho will be back), Maresca said per Leicester City website.

"The only thing I can say is that Kel is still injured. It’s getting better but it’s still not 100 per cent otherwise he would be in the squad for tomorrow (today) and he’s not in the squad."
