Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu is reportedly set to sign a pre-agreement contract to join Spanish side Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.
Caglar Soyuncu joined Leicester from Bundesliga side Freiburg for £20million in 2018 and was exceptional in his first season in England.
Soyunucu's time at Leicester at an end
After suffering a number of injuries and seeing his performance levels drop, Soyuncu has received less playing time at the King Power Stadium in recent seasons.
Despite falling completely out of favour over the past 18 months, the Turkey international has been picked from the start in Dean Smith’s two games in charge so far.
He played the full 90 minutes as Leicester defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 to move outside of the relegation zone at the weekend.

Atletico Madrid set to snap up Soyuncu
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Soyuncu who has been capped 53 times by his country, is set to join LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid.
Soyuncu will certainly depart with fond memories of his time in Leicester after playing a pivotal role as the club won the FA Cup in 2021.
Leicester are 17th in the Premier League with six games left to play and are currently out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
