Arne Slot is set to be without one of his key players as Liverpool welcome Manchester United to Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool will be without defender Joe Gomez for Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester United according to manager Arne Slot.
The Liverpool boss provided an update on Gomez's condition, saying,
"Joe is of course not in a good place when it comes to his injury. He is out for a few weeks, that is for sure."
However, there was more positive news regarding Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate, who are set to return to training. Slot stated,
"Conor and Ibou will train with us today for the first time. So, [I am] curious to see where they exactly are, of course. So, hopefully, everybody is ready – except for Joe Gomez – to be part of the game on Sunday."
The Reds are in flying form and head into this game against Ruben Amorim's Manchester United, looking to consolidate on the midweek 5-0 win over West Ham.
That win took them to 45 points, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points, albeit with a game in hand.
